Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, is one of the most effective and research-based approaches to improving relationships. It helps couples understand and change the emotional patterns that create distance, conflict, or disconnection.
In EFT, the focus is not on who is “right” or “wrong,” but on the emotional bond between partners. The process supports both individuals in recognizing their deeper needs for safety, closeness, and love and in expressing these needs in a way that brings their partner closer, rather than pushing them away.
